Comfortable clothing you can move in!

P.S. We don’t care about fancy yoga brand names or actual workout clothes – as long as you feel comfortable in it then it works for us!

An open mind and a sense of humor.

Your mat if you like, or else we’ll have mats available.

A water bottle. We have filtered water on site for staying hydrated.

Everyone has to start somewhere!

The first step is showing up to class.
After that, everything will come with consistently showing up for yourself. Also, know that we won’t expect you to become advanced, we just want you to feel better each time you walk out of our doors.

Your yoga practice will be entirely yours.

Neither can a lot of us, but it works out fine by just
bending the knees!

Our teachers will offer plenty of modifications for different levels of flexibility.

Let the instructor know it’s your first time.

It’s okay if you don’t catch everything at first.
The important thing is to keep showing up.

It takes time to absorb the information – go easy on yourself and congratulate yourself for doing the hardest part, which is getting to class in the first place.

No. Yoga is a very personal practice.

We’re all just trying to be better than we were yesterday, last week, last month, last year.

And it’s okay if we’re not! Every day is different.
If we see newcomers in classes, we are overjoyed that more people have found yoga.

Tips for Newcomers

1

If it’s your first time at the studio, try to arrive 10-15 minutes before class so you can get yourself situated and oriented to the space.

Feel free to introduce yourself to the teacher or reception and be sure you’ll be received with a smile 🙂

2

We kindly ask that you turn your phone to
Do not disturb mode, or better yet airplane mode! Vibrating phones can also be distracting for some – the quieter, the more “zen” we’ll all be!

3

Please let the teacher know if you have any injuries or sensitivities.

4

Make sure to hydrate before and after class, and during if you need it.

5

We advise that you refrain from eating two hours prior to class.

6

We kindly ask that you avoid fragrances or perfumes as they can be disturbing to others. Our rule is, if in doubt, don’t wear it to class!

7

Take care of yourself and listen to your body. No one is judging if you take a break or skip a sequence. Child’s pose is a great place to be. Your practice is for you and you alone!

Imperfect is perfect for us

No matter our knowledge or practice level, we are all human. Be sure that at Everyone Yoga all will be seen as equals. Teachers are channels for sharing yoga practices and special sources of inspiration for all of us, but we encourage that you see them as human just like you.

We don’t believe in perfection, we embrace mistakes, awkwardness, doubt, and any kind of uncomfortable emotion, as they’re all part of the human experience. Let that shit out! Together we will breathe, grow, heal, connect, reflect, and roar. We vow to be a safe space for you to practice in the hopes that little by little we can all become more united through the wonderful teachings of yoga.

Studio Policies

The not-so-fun but necessary part!
We believe in balance!

Let’s be real: we’re all hustling in different ways!

Our studio and teachers will always give their best to make sure our community has a great experience in our space, and we kindly expect the same in return!

We ask that students cancel their scheduled class at least 2 hours before the start time, to avoid getting their class credit consumed.

Through this policy, we help ensure that the students will be mindful of the teacher’s time, as well as make sure that other students have the opportunity to take the class if a spot opens up. Thanks for understanding!!

We highly advise that students arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of class. However, we understand that life happens, so we are giving a 10 minute latecomer flexibility as long as you commit to enter quietly. We advise that if you’re late you wait to enter the class area after the initial meditation has finished, so that it is less disruptive to the other students and teacher. Know that after 10 minutes teachers will lock doors for everyone’s safety.

They will all auto-renew each month, so we ask that if you wish to cancel you email us at hello@everyoneyoga.nyc at least 7 days in advance of your billing date.

There will be a $5 fee from the bank for failed monthly membership payments (oops!)

Learning is so exciting for everyone, and for this reason we are expecting to give as many spots as possible for our cool workshop offerings.

With this in mind, we kindly ask that you understand that we won’t be able to offer refunds for these kinds of offerings.

However, as mentioned before, we understand that life happens!! So don’t worry, you’ll be able to transfer the credit towards yoga classes without a problem (yaaass).

Be mindful of everyone’s time and effort and notify us 24-48 hours in advance.

Our yoga studio is committed to providing a
safe and welcoming environment for all students.

Sexual harassment, whether verbal, physical or visual, is not tolerated. Anyone who engages in sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior towards another student or teacher will be immediately asked to leave the studio and may
be reported to the appropriate authorities.

If you experience or witness any behavior that makes you feel uncomfortable, please immediately notify the instructor or studio manager.

We take any reports of sexual harassment seriously and will take appropriate measures
to investigate and address them.

We encourage all students to help us maintain a safe and inclusive space for everyone.
